Cashback

A bonus that returns a percentage of your net losses over a period, usually with no wagering requirement attached.

Cashback pays on the difference between what you deposited and what you have left: lose 200 in the period and a 10% cashback returns 20, typically as withdrawable funds or with minimal conditions. Win, and it pays nothing, which is exactly why operators can afford to keep it clean.

Its value is easy to state precisely: a 10% cashback refunds a tenth of your expected losses, which is equivalent to playing at nine tenths of the house edge. Real, modest, and impossible to be trapped by, the opposite profile of a big percentage match with heavy rollover.

Why it matters

Cashback is the most honest structure on the bonus menu, and knowing its arithmetic makes the comparison with flashy match offers immediate: clean and small routinely beats big and locked.
